Short Term Training Programmes
The short term programmes implement MIM’s mandate to impart leadership and management skills and knowledge in support of Government and private sector capacity development needs as defined in the Malawi growth and Development Strategies (MDGS). To this end, MIM consultants work tirelessly to analyse the strategy and identify possible areas of intervention and develop courses accordingly. This kind of activity leads MIM to have two kinds of short term training programmes which are generic and in-house (customised) courses. The in-house courses originate from direct requests by customers while the generic courses are developed as a result MIM’s constant interaction with the market. The generic courses, which are annually calendared, run from two days to six weeks.
The main thematic areas of the generic courses are as follows:
LEADERSHIP
IMPLEMENTATION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF POLICIES AND PROJECTS
FINANCIAL Management;
HIV & AIDS MANAGEMENT
COMMUNICATION
HUMAN RESOURCE AND ORGANISATION DEVELOPMENT
Restructuring and Change Management;
PROCUREMENT
INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY
