How to apply

Online System

An application to the Bucerius International Exchange Program consists of two steps.

1. Nomination

A student’s home university must complete an online nomination form and confirm that she/he has been selected to apply for the International Exchange Program at Bucerius. Nominations are due by April 1.

2. Application

Following nomination by their home university, students will receive login credentials for an online system. Applicants will be asked to complete a form and upload various materials (detailed below) by April 15.

Applicants will be asked to upload the following items:

  1. A brief statement of purpose (one to two pages explaining areas of special interest, reason for wanting to study at Bucerius, previous international experience, etc.)
  2. Proof of English language proficiency
  3. One passport-sized photo to be used for a student directory and ID card

An application is not complete until an official transcript meeting the hereinafter mentioned criteria has been received by Bucerius Law School.

3. Transcript of Grades

The home university coordinator will be sending the student’s transcript of grades (in English or accompanied by a certified translation into English), including a description of the grading system, directly to Sabrina Henning. This can be done by email (sabrina.henning(at)law-school.de) or through an online transcript ordering service (such as eScript Safe, Parchment, etc.) if a university issues official transcripts this way.
