Rationale for the Programme
Birthing is a natural phenomenon and a basic component of human existence. It is usually accompanied by unforeseen complications /problems hence the need to provide the Nursing Health care Professionals with appropriate knowledge, skills and attitude.
The topography of the country mandates that nursing professional be equipped with the midwifery skills to reach inaccessible areas of the country where medical personnel are limited.
Midwifery is a 1 year fulltime program
