Lesotho College Of Education Orientation Of New Students

New students normally come to the College about three weeks before returning students for orientation. This orientation takes place at the main Maseru campus, even if a student will be studying at the Thaba-Tseka campus. The orientation covers information on the following:

  • Accommodation
  • Health facilities
  • Sports and recreation
  • Library
  • Examination and assessment regulations
  • Student code of conduct
  • College gorvernance
  • Subject choices (for Dip. Ed. Sec. and DTEP)

For pre-service students the orientation ends with two weeks of classes, aimed at preparing the new students for the beginning of teaching of the courses they have registered for. The last two days of orientation are for academic registration.
