Tired of being restricted to flying during the day only? Want to widen your horizon and see the world at dusk as the sun is setting behind the mountains?
Our Night Rating Course will bring you up to level to safely operate an aircraft at night, with fewer visual references available. You will learn everything you need to know about flying and navigating at night, as well as how to avoid being tricked by potential illusions low light settings can induce.

The Night Rating Course consists of five hours of flight time. Of these, 45 minutes will be solo. All of the flying is of course conducted after civil twilight and instructed by our skilled and experienced full-time instructors. The programme will additionally commence by a thorough long briefing taking all operational and theoretical aspects into consideration to best prepare you for success.

Pre-entry requirements
1. Hold a valid ICAO of EASA LAPL(A) or PPL(A)
2. Have received a minimum of five hours instrument instruction during initial PPL(A) training, or in case of LAPL(A)holders; have received the same five hours of instrument instruction from the PPL(A) course.
3. Hold a valid Class 2 medical certificate or higher before commencing flight training
Accomodation
Pilot Flight Academy assists all coming students in finding housing.
We have different dorm room solutions at the actual airport/school premises, and will forward all enrolled students to further booking of these or other housing alternatives.
Prices will vary with size, private bathroom solution etc, but starts from app. NOK 5000 per month, electricity and wifi included.
All rooms come with a bed, wardrobe closet and desk, some dorm rooms have a private bathroom. All dorm room facilities are newly decorated and fresh looking.

Costs
Price NOK 18.850,-.
Additional fees to CAA Norway are not included.
A sign-on fee of NOK 5.000 is required, but will however be subtracted from the course cost and will therefore not lead to any additional expense.
Additional costs for pre-entry flight test, Assessment of Competence and fees to CAA Norway not included.
