Content
Our high quality PPL program consists of two modules. Theoretical and practical.
Usually one will read the first parts of the theoretical syllabus before commencing the practical training. It can however, be a good idea to take a couple of lessons first, in order to get a basic oversight over the different aspects of flying. After having passed the required theoretical PPL written exams, the practical training can be intensified. The PPL course is ended by performing a skill test with a licenced examiner.
The theoretical syllabus for a PPL consists of nine subjects completed with our partner school, privatfly.no. The theory module is completed by the use of distance learning consisting of several multiple-choice progress tests. After all subjects have been studied, and all progress tests have been passed, a mandatory ground school course is to be attended.
The ground school course is normally conducted over the course of a weekend, but can alternatively be completed one-on-one with an authorised instructor.
Ground school will be at supplementary cost, and will vary depending on model chosen.
The practical PPL program consists of 45 hours flying in total. Of these 45 hours, an entire 10 hours will be conducted solo! Several phases makes up the program, taking the candidate thoroughly through basic flying, manoeuvres, landings, navigation and basic instrument flying. A Phase briefing will be conducted before commencing any block to best prepare the candidate.
