Potential students who have applied and qualify for the entry requirements are given application forms and shortlisted. Those shortlisted according to their C.O.S.C. results and other relevant factors were then called for interviews on a set date.
The prospective candidates are subjected to oral and written interviews that bear specific marks that candidates earn per performance.
Candidates are ranked according to their performance and the availability of space for various cadres.
There is a percentage put aside for straightforward admissions for qualifying students, for male students, for those who have undergone a nursing assistants’ programme or an equivalent and for those who are special cases and are disadvantaged. Selections Committee does the final selection.
All students are expected to stay on campus throughout their period of study unless they are repeating when alternative accommodation is sought by the student.
In order to qualify for admission at Roma College of Nursing, a student should have attained a minimum of six (6) passed subjects at COSC level with the following:
Credit in the English Language or a pass of seven
Pass in Mathematics or Principles of Accounts
Credit in combined Science/Biology that goes with a pass in Physics and Chemistry/Pass in Biology that goes with Credit in Physics and Chemistry
Credit for any other three subjects

Roma College of Nursing was established in 1972. It is a Roman Catholic Nurses Training Institution which belongs to the Christian Health Association of Lesotho – Nurses Training Institutions (CHAL-NTI). It is also an affiliate of the National University of Lesotho (NUL) through the Faculty of Health Sciences. Structurally and functionally, the college forms part of St Joseph’s Hospital where overall authority lies within the Board of Directors.
