PLAYERS TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS IN SWALLOWS TROPHY TOUR

MBABANE – After a lot of anticipation, the Mbabane Swallows trophy tour will finally get underway this Saturday, providing the opportunity for fans to get their idols’ autographs and take pictures with them.
Because of their proven huge fan base around the Lubombo region, in particular Siteki and Big-Bend, Swallows will start their celebrations with a stop at Mpaka, move to Siteki, the homeland of team boss Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze, Big-Bend and end the day at Siphofaneni, their star player Felix Badenhorst’s home area.
“We intend to make it a big celebration that will give our fans around the communities we’ll visit a chance to mingle with their players, take pictures and also get their autographs if they so wish,” confirmed the club’s CEO Sibusiso Manana.
He said they would begin the day at Mpaka at 10am, be at Siteki at noon, Big Bend at 2pm and lastly, Siphofaneni at 4pm before driving back to Mbabane. He explained that they would bring all their four trophies won last season for their fans to appreciate.
“After the trophy parades on Saturday, it will then be our big meeting on Sunday at La Casserole with the supporters at 9:30am and again we expect a good attendance from our happy family,” he said.
Swallows won the inaugural King’s Super Cup, Ingwenyama Cup, Castle Premier Challenge and SwaziBank Cup raking in over E4 million in prizes. Meanwhile, Swallows began their preseason training yesterday but most of their stars are still off after a majority of them were part of the national team Sihlangu in Namibia so were given two weeks’ leave before they could join the club.
