2017/18 CABMACC Schorlarship For LUANAR Female Undergraduate Students

INTRODUCTION
The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), through the Capacity Building for Managing Climate Change (CABMACC) Programme in Malawi funded by the Government of Norway and coordinated by the Programmes Coordination Office (PCO), invites applications from LUANAR female undergraduate students-Bunda Campus for the 2017/18 academic year. The CABMACC Scholarship is designed to encourage and help female undergraduate students from financially challenged families to
complete their education at LUANAR.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: In order to be considered for the scholarship, applicants will be assessed based on the following criteria:
Applicants must:
• be female under graduate student at LUANAR
• be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and above with no fail grade
• be in year 2 and above at the beginning of the 2017/18 academic year
• demonstrate a clear need for the scholarship with verifiable evidence of socioeconomic hardships to justify need for scholarship support.
Awarding of the CABMACC scholarship is governed by equal and fair competition, with respect to eligibility, evaluation and selection criteria as indicated above. It is the policy of LUANAR not to discriminate on the basis of tribe, color, religion, sex, age, region of origin, disability. The major criteria will be evidence of economic hardships and/or financial poverty. Successful candidates shall be required to submit progress reports to the University Registrar each semester.
SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE: The scholarship will cover full or partial tuition fees only as decided by the LUANAR Scholarship Selection Committee.
MODE OF APPLICATION: In order to be considered for the scholarship, eligible students must complete the CABMACC Undergraduate Scholarship Form for Female Students available from the University Porter’s Lodge or the Programmes Coordinating Office. All applications should reach the office of the University Registrar within a week after announcement of end of 2016/17 Semester 2 result
