LEC 2017 Tender Advert – LEC HQ Substation

The Lesotho Electricity Company (Pty) Ltd (LEC) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders (Electrical Contractors/Suppliers)for the provision of necessary Goods and Works, design, labour, materials, equipment, installation, commissioning, testing, and other technical engineering services necessary for the successful completion of LEC HEADQUARTERS SUBSTATION

EXTENSION- MASERU LESOTHO.

The works involve but not limited to the following;

(a)Supply, transportation, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of 33kV indoor switchgears at LEC Headquarters switching station in Maseru.

(b)Supply and installation of 240mm² XLPE cable

(c)Excavation on pickable soil for cable trenches

(d)Extension of switching station building

(e)Comprehensive contracts management

A complete set of bidding documents is available from Procurement Office.

Bids must be delivered to the tender box located at LEC Management office Block reception on or before 12:00hrs on Thursday 7th September, 2017.

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend immediately following closure of tenders’ submission at 12:00hrs on Thursday 7thSeptember, 2017at LEC offices.

Site Visit: The bidder is advised that it is his responsibility to visit and examine the site of works and its surroundings and obtain for himself, all information that may be necessary for preparing the tender and entering into a contract. The costs of visiting the site and obtaining the necessary information shall be borne by the bidders. There will be a pre-bid meeting that will be followed by a site visit for tenderers that wish to inspect the site conditions on the 22ndAugust, 2017at 10H00 at the LEC Training Centre.

Clarifications shall be communicated in writing seven (7) Calendar days before the tender closing date.
