UTM: Barclays Bright Minds Scholarship 2018
Barclays Bank Mauritius Limited is inviting applications for scholarships for young persons enrolled in final year undergraduate programmesat the registered Institution.
1. Eligibility for Scholarship
The scholarship is aimed at citizens of the Republic of Mauritius (including Rodrigues).
a) Candidates need to have excellent HSC results and good CPA;
b) Candidates should be less than 22 years old on submission date and by closing date of application;
c) Candidates should not be holder of any degree/ tertiary qualification on submission date and by closing date of application;
d) Candidates should not be beneficiary of any other grant or scholarshipor financial assistance;
e) Candidates should not be in employment;
f) Candidates should live in Mauritius as the scholarship;
g) Candidates should be enrolled in a full-time programme of study at the University/ Institution
h) The monthly household income of candidates, including any social benefits, should not presently exceed Rs 25,000 or any other threshold in upcoming years, as determined by Government;
2. Undertaking to complete the course
The selected candidate will have to sign an Undertaking with Barclays Mauritius to follow the course regularly and complete it within the agreed minimum duration, failing which the scholarship will be stopped forthwith.
Candidates/awardees will be eligible to follow only one course under this scheme.

APPLICATION FORM FOR SCHOLARSHIPS UNDER BRIGHT MINDS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
The below completed application form must be submitted to Barclays Bank Mauritius Limited in hard copy on 4th floor, Barclays House, Ebene latest by 31 October 2018. This application form must be accompanied by certified photocopies of the following documents:
1. Copy of Birth certificate of applicant;
2. National Identity Card;
3. Educational Certificates (SC/GCE „O‟/HSC/GCE Advanced Level);
4. Result transcripts of the previous academic year
5. Proof of address (not older than 3 months)
6. Proof of household income (payslip/ bank statement or any other relevant official document)
Candidates should be in the final year of study at the Institutionand produce evidence document, when required
