BOTHO Engineering Students Exchange Programmes With KTH Royal Institute Of Technology Sweden

KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden is one of Europe’s leading technical and engineering universities, as well as a key centre of intellectual talent and innovation. Botho University has entered into a partnership with KTH, to work with industry and society in the pursuit of sustainable solutions to some of the challenges identified by various stakeholders (challenge owners). The focus of the KTH Global Development Hub is the exchange and cooperation between KTH and Botho University to incorporate challenge driven education model.
CDE and Benefits of this exchange programme:

  • Challenge Driven Educational model inspire you to set up projects that have possibilities to contribute to solutions for societal challenges and problems and provide a platform where students will be working in team-based challenge driven project courses
  • The selected students will be sponsored for their travel, insurance, accommodation and living expenses by KTH and details will be shared with those selected.
  • KTH staff conducted workshop for the staff at Botho University to implement CDE model. KTH also planning to give specialized training to Botho University staff to find the solutions for challenges from the society or community.
  • This exchange programme is not only limited to students even we are planning to have Botho University staff also will be on exchange programme in the year 2019.

Exchange studies at KTH:
Exchange studies normally entails studying a selection of courses for KTH for January and July Semesters.
Only the students nominated by Botho University will be considered for this exchange programme.
The following students were already in Sweden for the July 2018 semester exchange programme:
1.Leungo Carol Motsilanyane
2.Lefentse Tlotlo Sorinyane
We are in the process of selecting 3 more students for January 2019 semester.
In conclusion, Botho University will continue to strive for more staff and student exchange programmes with our region and global partnered institutions.
