ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
2’A’ Level passes in relevant subjects:
For admission to a 4 year degree programme of study at MUAST, a student must have the following qualifications in the ZIMSEC /
CAMBRIDGE examinations or equivalent: All applicants MUST have passed 5 (five) O` Level subjects including English Language and
Mathematics and any three of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Accounts, Geography, Agriculture, Physics, Integrated
Science, Physical Science or any other related subjects and two Advanced level passes.
Or Mature entry: (For the Faculty of Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship and Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences):
Applicants should be at least 25 years for females and 23 years for males on the first day of the academic year in which admission is sought.
The candidates should have passed at least 5 Ordinary Level subjects (including Mathematics and English language) or equivalents and
must have demonstrated potential suitability for University studies by virtue of their attainment of relevant work experience.
