University of Education, Winneba ( UEW ) 25th Virtual Congregation Ceremony

Management Approves September 10 and 11 for Virtual 25th Congregation

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has approved Thursday, 10th and Friday, 11th September, 2020 as dates for the virtual 25th Congregation.   

The two-day ceremony will be held at the Winneba Campus. Day-one will see faculties of Educational Studies, Foreign Languages Education and Communication, Ghanaian Languages Education, Science Education, Social Science Education and Schools of Business, Creative Arts and Graduate Studies awarding degrees, diplomas and certificates to graduands. Day-two will have Faculties of Agriculture Education, Science and Environment Education, Education and Communication Sciences, Business Education, Technical Education and Vocational Education do same.

Graduands who wish to be presented should log on to UEW website and provide the details required for registration. Presentation at the virtual graduation will be in the form of graduands’ profile pictures being featured with details on the official UEW Graduation Video which will be streamed live on the University’s website and other official social media platforms due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The closing date for registration is Tuesday, 8th September, 2020 and only those who have registered will be presented.

Graduands are supposed to upload a portrait photograph of themselves that meets specified requirements given by the University as part of the registration process. The photograph will be used as their profile picture for the UEW Virtual Congregation Video.

Attendance at the graduation ceremony is exclusively for PhD graduating students and selected best graduating, first class male and female students from each Faculty or School. All other graduating students are to participate virtually.

Selected best graduating first class male and female students would be given credentials to log on to a special portal on the University’s website to print their invitation cards which will be used as identification for the collection of their academic gowns at the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs.

All graduating students are expected to be available online by 8:50 am before the programme starts at 9:00 am. Since the graduation ceremony is virtual, family members can also log in to the University website and other official social media handles to participate. 

Soft copies of the student graduation brochure would be made available on the University’s website for students to download. Hard copies would however, be available for collection in addition to certificates as per the online schedule to be provided.
