By | November 10, 2020

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has cautioned candidates who sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) to be wary of websites announcing the release of the results.

The Council in a statement issued today said this is because it is still processing the results.

The statement also warned WAEC’s stakeholders about the activities of fraudsters who promise to upgrade results for a fee.

“Co-ordination and Marking Exercises have been completed and processing of results as well as other post-examination activities are ongoing,” the statement said.

“The Council cautions candidates to be wary of websites announcing the release of the results and of persons who promise to upgrade results for a fee. These are activities of fraudsters and all stakeholders are hereby alerted accordingly. Furthermore, the Council urges all institutions to always authenticate results presented to them.”
