Council on Higher Education (CHE) in Lesotho invites suitably qualified professional to express interest to serve in the Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee (HEQAC). In accordance with Section 5(3) of the Higher Education Act, 2004, the terms of reference for HEQAC include to:
• Promote quality assurance across higher education institutions
• Audit internal quality assurance mechanisms and systems of higher education institutions
• Accredit higher education programmes and issue certificates of accreditation
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of higher education programmes
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of higher education institutions
Qualifications and Experience Applicants are likely to be invited to serve in HEQAC if they have the following attributes:
• A minimum of a Masters Degree coupled with relevant work experience;
• Expertise and experience in working in either a higher education institution or in a regulatory environment;
• Knowledge about quality assurance, use of standards, development of quality assurance mechanisms, systems and tools;
• Broad experience in working in the higher education sub-sector both as an
instructor and an administrator;
• Good communication skills in speaking and writing.
