JOB OPPORTUNITY
Centre for Accounting Studies (CAS) is the leading Accounting training institution which is moving into a business school. CAS is looking for an energetic, committed and passionate individual to lead the office of Finance and Procurement as Bursar.
Purpose of the Job;
To provide strategic and operational leadership for finance and procurement department and guides the Rector on financial issues accordingly. The Bursar advises the Rector on all matters pertaining to the management and operation of accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budget management and control, budget preparation, financial information systems, credit management, collections, financial statements preparation, risk management, investing and payroll.
Qualifications, experience and desirable attributes
Must hold accounting professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CA etc) or Advanced degree in Accounting. MBA/MBL added advantage. At least 10 years post qualification experience in senior management role. Computer literacy is a requirement. Must also be a member of Lesotho Institute of Accountants.
Skills
Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities required. Executive problem solving skills and the ability to organize and manage complex functions are required. Exceptional aptitude in financial activities management is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.
