2020 BECE school placement to be out Feb. 20 - GES

Parents are to expect the release of the 2020 BECE school placement of candidates who sat for the 30th edition of the BECE for School Candidates on Sunday, February 20, 2021, the Director-General of GES has announced.

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Graphic, Prof. Kwasi Opoku Amankwa said both 2020 SHS placements of candidates who sat for BECE for School and Private examination will be released on Sunday.

The Director-General disclosed that this year’s candidates can make changes in school changes a couple of times at the self-placement module.

“For this year, candidates will be allowed to change schools a couple times until finally they enrol in them. So until you enrol in a school, you can continue to do changes up till the enrolment deadline, and once you have the opportunity to change, you do not need to come over here to seek any assistance or for someone to do that for you,” he told the Newspaper.

According to him, his outfit and the Ministry of Education (MoE) are working towards the set of an SHS BECE school placement solution call centre to address issues related to the school placement and others.

The centres, Professor Kwasi Opoku Amankwa said would address technical issues and also the issue of a day student placed in a distant school.

The CSSPS coordinator in an interview monitored by Educationweb.com.gh has said over 500,000 BECE candidates will be doing SHS self-placement into 721 Senior high, technical and vocational schools in the country.
