Mzuzu University Intake For Online Short Course Programmes 2021 Academic Year

Mzuzu University is pleased to announce names of candidates who have been selected to pursue Short courses in Food Safety and Hygiene and Community and Primary Health Care Promoters supported by the Strengthening Higher Education Access in Malawi Activity (SHEAMA) program, implemented by Arizona State University with funding from USAID Malawi. The programmes will be delivered through Online and Distance mode in the five satellite learning centre of Karonga, Mzuzu, Lilongwe, Balaka and Mulanje.


Opening Date
The commencement of the training shall start with registration from Monday 25th to Friday 29th January 2021 in the candidates’ respective satellite learning centres
Tuition Fees and Scholarships

  1. The total fees for the Community and Primary Health Care Promoters programme is MK150,000. The fees include tuition and cost of training resources.
  2. The total fees for the Food Safety and Hygiene programme is MK275,000. The fees include tuition and cost of training resources.
    Scholarships will be made available to a few candidates that will meet the programme-set criteria. Those from Community Day Secondary Schools and Open Secondary Schools are requested to contact the Scholarship and Grants Associate at SHEAMA on +265884929849 to request for scholarship application form.
    Payment of Fees
    Candidates are informed that they should pay at least half of the required fees by 25th January 2021 for them to be registered.
    All fees should be deposited into the following bank account:

    Students will be required to present bank deposit slips to their respective Satellite Learning Centres.
    Board and Lodge
    All candidates are required to make their own arrangements for accommodation, transport, meals and general upkeep during the registration and orientation period.
    Original Certificates and Passport-size Photographs
    All candidates are required to bring original copies of their academic certificates and two recent passport size photographs for registration.
