SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID APPLICATIONGENERAL NOTES FOR PERSONS APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS/FINANCIAL AID – READ CAREFULLY
Africa University has limited funds available for scholarships and/or financial aid. The majority of scholarship and financial aid awards to students are made on the basis of need and academic performance. The information being sought in the attached application form will assist University officials in determining the level of award to each applicant. Please answer the questions fully. Information provided will be treated as confidential.
All applicants are required and expected to familiarize themselves with the provisions of the Scholarship/ Financial Aid Policy Guidelines of Africa University.
Please note that….
1 – Africa University expects every enrolled student to personally pay or arrange payment of his or her tuition, residence and other fees.
2 – If a student finds that he/she cannot meet all the required payments, the student can apply to the University for assistance. Each student’s need is determined on an individual basis. The University reserves the right to decide what scholarship or financial aid award if any at all, to give to each applicant.
3 – The University’s decision with regard to the grant or refusal of scholarship or financial aid shall be final and binding.
4 – The student recipient who qualifies for a scholarship or financial aid shall sign an undertaking to work, (for the hours specified and in a job specified by the institution) as a condition for receipt of his/her scholarship or financial aid award. Failure to discharge such an undertaking would result in loss of the scholarship/financial aid award for the individual in question.
5 – Any student not granted a scholarship or other financial aid shall be entirely responsible for the full payment of his or her fees. If a student is granted a partial scholarship or financial aid that covers only a portion of the required fees, then he/she shall be entirely responsible for payment of the balance of the fees.
6 – Each applicant shall furnish relevant verification forms and documents in support of their application.
An application without supporting documents shall be invalid and will not be processed.
