INSTITUTIONAL PROFILE

The Zambian Open University (ZAOU) is a leading private university offering its programs through distance learning and full – time studies. It is an internationally recognized University, which is registered with the Higher Education Authority (HEA), and is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of African Universities (AAU), and African Council for Distance Education (ACDE), Southern African Regional Universities Association (SARUA) and the Distance Education Association of Southern Africa (DEASA).

 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES

  • Five (5) ‘O’ level credits or better at School Certificate/ Grade 12  level or the equivalent with relevant subjects including English or a Zambian Language
  • Three (3) ‘O’ level credits or better at School Certificate/ Grade 12  level or the equivalent with a relevant Diploma from a higher education  institution recognized by the University.

 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

Five (5) ‘O’ level credits or better at School Certificate level or the equivalent with relevant subjects including English or a Zambian Language
