NECTA PSLE :
- PSLE (Primary School Leaving Examination) in Tanzania is conducted by the National Examination Council Of Tanzania (NECTA) in the second week of September every year. This is a selection test, candidates get admission in standard eight. Students who get selected in this PSLE exam government awarded a certificate.
- Any pupil who has completed standard seven in any school (government and private) are eligible for registered and sit for NECTA PSLE 2021 examination.
- The examined subjects at PSLE are Hisabati (Mathematics), English Language, Sayansi (Science), Maarifa ya Jamii (Social Studies) and Kiswahili.
- The main objectives of PSLE are to evaluate learning skills and knowledge that should be gained in the different subjects at the primary school level; to evaluate pupils for the understanding of the basic skills and improve the abilities in reading, writing and arithmetic and the so that pupil can use such of these skills for solving pertinent problems in life.

In 2016 the National Examination Council Of Tanzania (NECTA) developed an online results system through its official website (www.necta.go.tz). Now students of Tanzania can check their matokeo psle online. Check below for step by step guide to get the result online.
- Step 1: visit www.necta.go.tz
- Step 2: Find the “Result” in Main Menu and Click on “Search” from the submenu.
- Step 3: The “Search Result” window will appear shown below.
- Step 4: Select your “Year” for necta results as 2021.
- Step 5: Select “Exam Type” as PSLE.
- Step 6: Enter Your “Candidate number”
- Final Step: Click on the “Request” button.
PSLE 2016 DISTRICTS PASS RATE IMPROVEMENT FROM 2015
- PSLE schools are ranked based on the average total marks of the school which are computed by summing the total scores of each candidate in all five examination subjects divide by the total number of students sat for the examination in that school. This average score ranges between 0 to 250, the higher the average the higher the performance.
