HOW TO APPLY

Please deposit a non-refundable application fee of USD7.00 for local undergrad applicants and US$50.00 for international undergrad applicants into the Harare Institute of Technology Bank Account Number indicated below.  Late application fee is USD14.00 for Local applicants and US$50.00 International candidates.

NB:  Application fee can also be paid on Campus at the Finance Department.

ON-LINE APPLCATION

  • Go to https://apply.hit.ac.zw
  • Click on the Online Application link
  • Fill in the form accordingly
  • Pay the required application fee using pay now (visa card or ecocash)
  • Upload the following certified PDF documents during on-line application;
  • O-Level Results
  • A-Level Results
  • Birth Certificate
  • National Identification Card or
  • First two pages of a candidate’s passport
  • Diploma/Degree/Masters Transcript(s) and
  • Submit the form on line.

PHYSICAL APPLICATION

  • Download application form by clicking; Download application form.
  • Print and complete application form, deposit the application fee at the Institute Bank.
  • You can also collect an application form from Harare Institute of Technology, Admissions Office. 

Submission of Application Form


Completed application form should be submitted and accompanied with relevant Educational Certified Copies of the Following:-

  • ‘O’ Level Results
  • ‘A’ Level Results
  • Birth Certificate
  • National Identification Card or
  • First two pages of a candidate’s passport
  • Diploma/Degree/Masters Transcript(s) and
  • Bank Deposit slip of the foresaid application fee.

Please take note

  • Always indicate your full names on the bank deposit slip.
  • General Requirements – Candidates must hold 5 “O” Levels passes at grade ‘C’ or better with passes in Maths and English.
  • Duration of the undergraduate programmes four (4) years fulltime and for postgraduate degrees is two (2) years fulltime and three (3)  years block release.
  • English is the language of instruction at Harare Institute of Technology.
  • While the Institute has adequate ICTs facilities for teaching and learning purposes, students are urged to bring their own laptops or iPads to fully utilize the Institute Wi-Fi facility.
  • Applications for undergraduate degree programmes are normally submitted from mid-January and mid-October for postgraduate degree programmes every year.
  • Closing date for receiving late applications is end of February for undergraduate programmes and end of November for postgraduate degrees every year.
