Check CXC, CSEC, CAPE Online Results Guide

Barbados – Following discussions with Ministries of Education in St Vincent & the Grenadines and countries where candidates sat examinations with that cohort as a result of the disruption caused by Hurricane Elsa, the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) wishes to advise that results of this year’s July/August examinations for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE), Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC), will be released online on Friday, 29 October. Candidates can access their results at https://www.cxc.org/student-results/. 

Stakeholders are reminded that results are preliminary. Candidates who may have questions about their grades may submit requests for reviews and/or queries. The deadline for submission is November. Further details can be found online at www.cxc.org/exam-2021-release-guidance/  

The official release of the June/July Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) results will be made by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Examination Council (CXC), Dr. Wayne Wesley on Thursday 14th October at 9:00 a.m. at a ceremony hosted by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) and the Ministry of Education of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.  The Ceremony will be hosted at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre and streamed live on www.cxc.ord\cxctv

The Honourable Dr. Priya Manickchand, M.P., Minister of Education, will deliver the feature address and remarks will also be delivered by Dr. Wayne Wesley, Registrar and CEO of CXC and Dr. Marcel Hutson, Chief Education Officer in the Ministry of Education. Dr Nicole Manning, Director of Operations, Examination Services Division will deliver a presentation on the 2021 Examination Administration and Results.

The release of results to students will be on Friday 15th October.  Students will be able to access their results on the student portal on CXC’s website: https://www.cxc.org/student-results/ .

Preliminary results of the May/June Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate Examinations (CSEC) were received on 12 October, in Grenada, with students’ performance in all of the Pure Sciences remaining above regional performance levels.

A total of 2,606 candidates were registered to write CXC (CSEC) examinations, of which 1,700 were females and 906 were males. 2,417 were candidates attending school, while 189 were private candidates. There were 13,791 subject entries in 32 subject areas. Twenty-four secondary schools and 24 private centres participated in the examination.

The largest entries were in Mathematics (1,839), English A (1,746), Social Studies (796), Principles of Business (770) and Information Technology (567).

The lowest entries were in Industrial Technology – Mechanical (14), Theatre Arts (27), Additional Mathematics (41), and Religious Education (49).
