University of Technology Mauritius Application for April Intake and Enrollment

  1. APPLICATION
    The application form, cash deposit voucher form and advertisement for the April2022Intake have been published on the University’s website as per the following link: http://www.utm.ac.mu/index.php/en/latest-at-utm/news-items

Applications are open as from Monday, 17 January 2022 to Tuesday, 15 March
2022andshould be made on form downloadable from UTM’s Website.
The choice of programme applied for, should be based, strictly as per the list of
programmes advertised.

For application, you are required to submit the following documents together with your
filled in application form, namely:-
 Copy of Birth certificate
 Copy of National Identity Card
 Copy of School Certificate results
 Copy of Higher School Certificate results or Equivalent Qualifications awarded
by other recognized institutions and approved by Academic Council as satisfying
the minimum requirements for admission.
 Copy of Undergraduate Degree (where applicable)
 Copy of Certificate/Diploma or equivalent should be submitted for students
applying for Top-Up programmes

Filled in application form and all supporting documents may be submitted:

  1. Either via postal mail addressed to the Student Affairs Office, University of Technology, Mauritius, La Tour Koenig, Pointe aux Sables, 11134.
  2. Or in person at the Student Affairs Office (Room B1.01) Access to the campus will be given strictly upon presentation of either the COVID-19
    Vaccination Card certifying that you have received the COVID 19 vaccine (at least
    one dose) or RT – PCR test result slip certifying a negative result dating back not
    more than 7 days from the date of the RT-PCR test was undertaken.

Important Note:
 Payment of a Non-Refundable Application Fee of Rs 1,000 for Mauritian applicants should be made exclusively by internet banking using SBM Bank Account No: 61031200000193 or other payment details as indicated on UTM website. Online payments MUST specify the Applicant’s full name and NIC as
transaction reference. Payment may alternatively be made at any SBM branch on prescribed form (Cash Deposit Voucher Form) downloadable from UTM’s website on the link: http://www.utm.ac.mu/files/sthug/SBM/Cash_Deposit_Voucher_Form.pdf

Cohort: Not applicable for new applicant
 Failure to submit any of the above documents will delay processing of your
application.
 You will be notified by email for any missing document or any additional
documents required by the selection committee of the university.
 Processing of application may take2 or 3 months.

  1. OFFER OF SEAT
    Upon successful screening of application, you will be provided with the Mail of Offer and Fees Structure by e-mail. The onus falls on the student to verify their e-mails.
  2. ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER OF SEAT/REGISTRATION (TO CALL IN PERSON)
    Following the offer of seat, you will be requested to call in person for verification of
    original documents submitted with your Application form.
    The University reserves the right to terminate registration of a student if the latter
    does not submit original educational certificates at time of registration.
  3. INDUCTION/START OF SEMESTER
    Induction and Start of Semester will be communicated and available on the UTM’s
    website (www.utm.ac.mu).
