Check WAEC Online Results Via SMS

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of results of the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates otherwise referred internal examination. The 2022 WAEC Results is now available on WAEC results checking portal and can be accessed online in a number of ways with any convenient device.

The examination body has it that a total of 1,222,505 candidates of the 1,601,047 candidates that successfully sat the examination obtained credits and above in a minimum of five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. That amounts to about 76.36 per cent pass rate which represents a decrease of more than five per cent when compared to a performance of 81.7 per cent pass rate recorded in the same exam last year.

WAEC Result Checker | How to Check WAEC Result

Candidates have the option of accessing the their results via the WAEC Result Checker by visiting www.waecdirect.org or through the use of SMS on their mobile devices. Whichever option you choose to take, you will need to get WAEC scratch card to get access to the results.

Check Results via Portal>:

To uses the WAEC Result Checker option, follow the below steps;

  1. Login to WAEC Result Checker website via www.waecdirect.org.
  2. Enter your Examination Number
  3. Select Examination Type e.g “May/June”
  4. Select Exams Year e.g “2022”
  5. Click on “Check Result”.

Check Via Serial Number>:

  1. Firstly, ensure your mobile phone is internet enabled.
  2. Then you visit www.waecdirect.org
  3. Enter your 10-digit Examination number,
  4. Enter Serial Number
  5. Enter the Examination year
  6. Click on Check my WAEC Result.

Check Results via SMS>:

To uses the SMS option for checking your WAEC results, follow the below steps

  • Open your SMS app on your phone
  • Type WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear (do not leave space in between).
  • Send to 32327.
  • You will receive a message instantly containing your WAEC statement of result.

Note: The SMS option of checking WAEC results is available to MTN, Glo & Airtel Subscribers only. If you did not receive your WAEC result via SMS, kindly repeat this step again. Charges may also apply for the using SMS service.
