Admission Requirements For Africa University of Guidance, Counselling and Youth Development

APPLICANTS ELIGIBILITY

FOUNDATION COURSE / INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION SEMESTER (1 Semester)

  • Accreditation of prior learning / Accreditation of prior experiential learning

DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (2 years)

  • Full MSCE (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent with credits in three subjects including English Language or Literature.

  • Certificate in relevant field of study is an added advantage.

BACHELORS DEGREE PROGRAMMES (4 years)

  • Full MSCE (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent with at least 6 credit passes.

  • A-Level holders must have a minimum of 3 principal passes with an aggregate of at least 9 points. The AUGCYD interpretation of A-Level results is as follows: A=5; B=4; C=3.

  • Applicants with relevant diplomas or advanced level certificates from recognized institutions shall be admitted at the discretion of the University.

  • Mature Entry/Exemption Policy: Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL); Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL); Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL)

MASTERS DEGREE PROGRAMMES (2 years)

  • Relevant undergraduate degree from a recognized institution.

PhD DEGREE PROGRAMMES (3 years)

  • Relevant postgraduate degree from a recognized institution.
