AUGCYD Admission Requirements
We conduct our selection for academic performance, but we are also interested in the context in which you have been studying and any factors which might have caused specific difficulties or disruptions. The following is a description of our minimum entry requirements for selection:
FOUNDATION COURSE / INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION SEMESTER (1 Semester)

Accreditation of prior learning / Accreditation of prior experiential learning
DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (2 years)

Full MSCE (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent with credits in three subjects including English Language or Literature.

Certificate in relevant field of study is an added advantage.
BACHELORS DEGREE PROGRAMMES (4 years)

Full MSCE (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent with at least 6 credit passes.

A-Level holders must have a minimum of 3 principal passes with an aggregate of at least 9 points. The AUGCYD interpretation of A-Level results is as follows: A=5; B=4; C=3.

Applicants with relevant diplomas or advanced level certificates from recognized institutions shall be admitted at the discretion of the University.

Mature Entry/Exemption Policy: Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL); Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL); Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL)
MASTERS DEGREE PROGRAMMES (2 years)

Relevant undergraduate degree from a recognized institution.
PhD DEGREE PROGRAMMES (3 years)

Relevant postgraduate degree from a recognized institution.
