Applications for study at the Catholic University of Malawi (CUNIMA) in 2020-2021 are fully online are now open.

Application for admission to Postgraduate, Bachelor’s, undergraduate, Master’s degree, diploma, certificates programmes at Catholic University of Malawi (CUNIMA):To use the Online Application System you will need internet access, as well as an email address that you can access regularly, because as soon as you submit your online application, a student number (EMPLID) will be sent to this email address as confirmation of receipt. Check the list of closing dates supplied below to make sure that you submit your application on time.

Admission into generic/full time programmes is through three routes : (1) University Entrance Examinations, (2) Bridging Programme (3) Consideration of A-level and post-secondary certificates.

ROUTE 1:        ADMISSION THROUGH ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

  • Apply using application forms clearly marked “Admission through Entrance Examinations.”
  • Eligible applicants are those with MSCE or its equivalent  obtained not earlier than 2017 and with credits in six subjects including English and an aggregate of not more than thirty ( 30 ) points.
  • Eligible applicants will register for University Entrance Examinations on 3 rd  January 2021  and sit for the Examinations on 4th January 2021

   ADMISSION THROUGH ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

  • Apply using application forms clearly marked “Admission through Entrance Examinations.”
  • Eligible applicants are those with MSCE or its equivalent  obtained not earlier than 2017 and with credits in six subjects including English and an aggregate of not more than thirty ( 30 ) points.
  • Eligible applicants will register for University Entrance Examinations on 3 rd  January 2021  and sit for the Examinations on 4th January 2021  .

NOTE :

  • Candidates, who were withdrawn from the Catholic University of Malawi or any other accredited institution of higher learning on academic grounds, are not eligible  for selection.
  • No individual or group of people has been mandated by the University to conduct coaching for the University Entrance Examinations

WEEKEND/PART TIME PROGRAMMES

  • Apply using application forms clearly marked “Application Form for Weekend (Part-Time Studies) Degree/Diploma Programmes.”
  • Specific requirements are indicated against each programme.
  • Successful applicants will be admitted for programmes which commence in December 2019 for those who will study at Lilongwe Satellite Centre  and January 2021  for those who will study at the Main Campus in Nguludi–Chiradzulu.

ADMISSION THROUGH CONSIDERATION OF “A” LEVEL AND POST- SECONDARY ; PAPERS

  • Apply using application forms clearly marked “Admission through C onsideration of “A” Level and Post- Secondary Certificates”.

         “A” Level Qualification

  • Candidates with A-Level qualification must have a minimum of three principal passes with an aggregate of at least 9 points. A-Level is interpreted as follows: A=5, B=4, C= 3 .

Other Advanced Certificates (Mature Entry).

  • Advanced certificates and diplomas from recognized and accredited institutions in the relevant areas of study.

MASTERS DEGREE IN BIBLICAL AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES

  • Apply using application forms clearly marked “Application Form for Post – Graduate Programmes.”
  • Applicants must have Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
