ACCA :
CAS offers Chartered Accounting through a scheme with ACCA which is an institute from the United Kingdom offering professional courses. CAS offers the tuition while the ACCA through a joint scheme with Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA) administer the examinations. The Chartered Accounting course is structured such that one goes through three layers of qualification. The first layer is the certified accounting technician (CAT), after which one progresses to general accounting (GA) stage, then to the chartered accounting (CA) stage.
Entry Requirements
- LGCSE – Minimum of 5 grade C & one grade D including maths & English
- COSC – Credit in either Maths & or English Language plus overall aggregate for best six subject not exceeding 34 including Mathematics & English.
- KM Bachelor degree (non accounting major) – Diploma (any field)
- SM 1 – graduate of CAT , pass knowledge module, Bachelor of degree (accounting major)
