About COM Anesthesia Department

The specialty of anaesthesia is considered young in history of medicine and developed in the middle of the 20th century as a service to the surgeon. Comprehensive patient care before, during and after surgery enabled technically challenging procedures and ensured the well-being of the patient. With more and more difficult techniques, a specialty on its own was created. Since the knowledge and skills of an anaesthetist are of great advantage in Emergency Medicine and in Pain Medicine these fields also belong in the expertise of our specialty
