Daeyang University is a Christian University founded by the Miracle for Africa Foundation.It is situated behind Malawi Institute of Management (MIM), off the M1 road passing between Kamuzu International Airport and Kanengo industrial area.
It started with the establishment of Daeyang College of Nursing in 2010 and Daeyang College of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in 2014.
The University believes in biblical principles and values and these are reflected in its teaching and training process. Students are therefore required to apply the same in their learning process. Its graduates are expected to demon- strate professionalism and desire to live a God-centered life. Throughout their lives, graduates will have a heart to love all people from all nations, a desire to live imitating Jesus Christ as servant-leaders, and a passion to work for the Kingdom of God.
THE REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION STATUS OF THE UNIVERSITY AND ITS PROGRAMMES
Daeyang University is registered and accredited as a pri- vate Christian university by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). Both BSc (Nursing and Midwifery) and BSc (ICT) are registered and accredited programmes by NCHE. The MBBS programme is an accredited programme of the University of Malawi and Daeyang University has a memorandum of understanding with the University of Ma- lawi regarding the programme.
Students who are admitted to the three programmes and are needy are eligible to apply for loans from the Higher Education Students Loans and Grants Board to pay their tuition fees.
