Applicants also may download application forms from the Website or receive from University in Mangochi. Filled in application forms should be sent to the above address.
University has two intakes in the months of January and July
Duly filled in application forms should be submitted with the following supporting documents to reach the University as early as possible.
Recent passport-size photographs  10 copies.
School Leaving Certificate/ Transfer certificate  2 sets.
Course Certificate / Mark Statement originals and 2 sets attested by Commissioner of Oaths
Conduct certificate from previous Head of the Institution / Organization.
Medical Certificate with test report.
Birth Certificate with 2 sets attested by Commissioner of Oaths.
Photocopy of Fee Receipt
Joint Declaration in the students undertaking form by candidate and parent/guardian/sponsor.
Candidates for admission to University are expected to take entrance examination and must obtain a pass in the respective entrance examination to qualify for the admission
When the admission dossier is complete and results of the entrance examination are obtained, the University will proceed to its evaluation. If this proves satisfactory, the University will notify the applicant of his/her acceptance and will send appropriate joining Instructions, either directly or through the applicants sponsor or guardian.
A candidate is required to confirm his/her acceptance of the Admission Offer within the period prescribed in the Joining Instruction by sending or bringing a non-refundable Registration Fee of MWK. 10,500 in case of Malawians or US$ 50.00 in the case of foreign students. If a candidate fails to do so, the University will offer the admission to candidates on the reserve list without further notice
Enrolment may be deferred for only one academic year, after which a new application for admission is required.
Travel and other arrangements.
Travel and other arrangements.Students should make their own travel arrangements to the campus and should be sure they have enough pocket money for expenses.
Students from countries other than Malawi are expected to confirm to all immigration formalities in their countries before they depart for Malawi. They must also obtain a Residence Permit from the nearest Malawi Embassy or High Commission before they arrive. This should be done at the earliest possible date. It is advisable when travelling to Malawi that one keeps readily available his/her travel document as well as evidence from DMI St. Johns the Baptist University to confirm that he/she has been offered admission. One should also have details of financial support, in case these documents are required at the port of entry by the immigration authorities.
