Embassy of France Job Vacancies

Since 1966 and the proclamation of the independence of Bechuanaland, France has developed a warm and cordial relationship with the Republic of Botswana, within the framework of a balanced and sustainable partnership. This relationship has been strengthened by the opening of our Embassy in Gaborone in 2001.

Over the recent past years, the friendship between France and Botswana has been consolidating by several official visits. Mr. Seretse Khama Ian Khama, President of the Republic of Botswana, made a state visit to France in June 2015. Two months later, Ségolène Royal, French Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, went to Botswana in order to prepare the COP21 UN climate change conference. Lately, a delegation from the French Senate was welcomed in Botswana in May 2017.

The reinforcement of our relations is all the more desirable than France and Botswana share similar preoccupations and positions on most issues on the international agenda, particularly regarding the challenges faced by developing countries and the African continent, but also on internal matters (the same attachment to the democratic values and the rule of law).
