APPLYING GUIDE FOR GOVERNMENT POSITIONS

  1. Ministries and Departments declare vacant posts to CSC.
  2. CSC advertises the positions in the media.
  3. Applications have to personally fetch application forms (Form B) and Form C for serving officers.
  4. Applications should attach; Curriculum vitie (C.V.), Certified Copies of Academic Certificates, Identification Document (ID), and Birth Certificate.
  5. A short listing and screening of applications is done at CSC.
  6. Short listed applicants are then called for interviews through the media, etc. Telephone, Newspapers, and Radio.
  7. The applicants are expected to dress formally during the interview, and bring original academic certificates.
  8. For technical positions, the short listed applicants have to undergo a job related test with the relevant ministry.
  9. CSC (Form 1) which is the first offer of employment, if selected applicant accepts the job offer, and He/ she signs the letter of acceptance.
  10. The applicant then required to undergo medical checkups with a registered Government Doctor.
  11. The Director Health Services determines whether the applicant is medically fit, then CSC form 5 is issued which makes Him or Her CIVIL SERVANT.
  12. All civil servants are on probation for the first 2 years of employment.
  13. They are confirmed to be permanent and pensionable after satisfactory performance of duties.
