Kasane International Airport, which was opened on 21 October 1991, is located 4 km south of Kasane town in the Chobe District about 1000km north of Gaborone.
The Airport is open to both domestic and international traffic. One of its attractive features is that it is strategically situated on the “Four Corners “, that is, it borders Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. It provides access to Chobe National Park and serves as the second alternate airport for tourists travelling to the world renowned Victoria Falls (both on the Zambian and Zimbabwean sides) and to Katima Mulilo town in Namibia.
