The ‘Calebasses’ Ayurved Center is situated the compound of the Mahatma Gandhi Ayurved Hospital at Calebasses in the district of Pamplemousses. The treatment and services are offered by a team of qualified personnel as in the other centers.
The team consists of an Ayurved doctor (Vaidya), male and female massage therapists, a trained compounder as well as personnel for the administrative work.
The main services offered are
1. Massage Therapy – as per doctor’s advice
2. Steam bath – Fully medicated steam is passed to the chamber so that the person gets his body below neck completely bathe in medicated steam. In addition to removing toxic wastes it is also beneficial in curing different skin problems like psoriasis.
3. Shiro Dhara – special head treatment with medicated oils
4. Nasya – therapeutic treatment for diseases related to nose, throat, ear and head.
5. Netra-basti – treatment for eyes
6. Treatment & Rehabilitation of substances abuses offered in the ACTReSA center at Calebasses.
The center also provides services for those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.
The center is open from Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays and public holidays.
