Malawi Institute of Management (MIM) Application forms

The institute as part of its mandate introduced undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in March 2017 to enhance the provision of leadership and Management training.

Undergraduate Programmes

MIM Business School offers the following undergraduate programmes;

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor of Science in Marketing (BSM)
  • Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management (BHRM)
  • Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (BICT)

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Year 1 (Full Time / Normal Entry): Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent with at least 6 credit passes including English and Mathematics.
  • Year 3 (Mature Entry): Advanced Diploma in related fields with a pass of 55% or above accumulative GPA of 2.50 or above in the final year obtained from a credible and recognized institution, 4 credits including English and Mathematics at MSCE plus 2 years relevant experience.
Mode of DeliveryFull time and weekend basis.
Duration4 years (Normal Entry) and 2 or 3 years (Mature Entry).

Postgraduate Programmes

MIM Business School offers the following undergraduate programmes;

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA)

MBA runs for a period of 2 years. The core courses cover various areas of business which will enable the manager to develop and gain knowledge and skills in business analysis and strategy.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN MANAGEMENT STUDIES (MMS)

MSc. in Management Studies runs for a period of 2 years. It provides comprehensive principles and expertise in the main managerial disciplines and it will enable one to transition into a managerial position. This programme will yield a relational, reflexive and ethical manager.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS (MIS)

MIS aims to integrate technology with management and provide the knowledge and skills needed for one to be an effective practitioner.

MASTER PROGRAMMES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant undergraduate degree or its equivalent from a recognized higher educational institution, University or College
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
  • Personal statement in support of your application
  • Letters of recommendations from referees (both academic and work)
  • Academic transcript

Currently, we operate two campuses, Blantyre (MCDE premises in Ginnery Corner) and Lilongwe (Kanengo).
