MIT Vision
The vision of MIT is to provide first class training environment for the growing private sector tourism industry.
Inevitably such change shall require the improvements of the training programmes. The Institute plans to improve both the courses offered by the MIT in terms of quality and numbers and the physical facilities applicable in the training.
Therefore the MIT intends to review the syllabi of the current courses and develop new course which would be more comparable to the needs of the industry.

The core function of MIT is to provide high quality and professionally sustainable training in hospitality and tourism.
Course Options
The MIT offers a range of fulltime study, for young people looking to join the tourism and hospitality industry. The Institute also offers evening and weekend classes for those not quite so young and in most cases employees of the tourism and hospitality industry wanting to broaden their knowledge and improve their prospects of promotion. MIT also offers short courses and upgrading courses for the industry.
Career Prospects
Graduates can gain employment in Malawi and beyond in the following areas: Food and Beverages, Catering, Front Office, Marketing, Tour Guiding, Tour Operations, Travel Agency and Event Management.
