Pentecostal Life University Faculties And Departments
(1) Faculties
In the mean time the University has four faculties:
Faculty of Business and Management (School of Management)
Faculty of Social Science (School of Science)
Faculty of Media Studies and
Faculty of Biblical Studies (School of Ministry)
The faculties of PLU will consist of:
(a) The Executive Deans who shall be the Chairpersons
(b) The Vice-Chancellor
(c) All members of the full-time and part-time academic staff holding posts according to the faculty of commerce
(d) Such other members of the full time or part-time staff of the University as may be co-opted by the faculty of commerce
(e) Associate members shall have the right attend all meetings of Faculty
(2) Departments (Academic)
(a) There is within the Faculty of Commerce, Heads of Departments who are ex-officio chairpersons of the departments
There are seven academic departments: department of marketing and entrepreneurship; department of accountancy; department of journalism & media studies; department of economics; political and administrative studies; department of postgraduate studies and department of school of ministry
(b) The Head of Department in academic matters, be under the direction and control of the Executive Dean of the Faculty to which the Department is assigned, and exercise powers and perform duties, as may from time to time
(c) The Head of Department is chaired by the Dean in accordance shall be elected:
- At a meeting of the Department and convened and chaired by the Dean
- From full-time academic staff holding posts assigned to the department concerned, and shall hold office from such date as the Senate shall determine
- A Head of Department is eligible for re-election to his/her post for such further term of office as the Senate may determine
(3) Other Departments
A part from the Academic Departments there are departments that deal with administration. Such departments are: Administration and Finance Department which are under the University Registrar.
