Riverton University malawi Courses Offered
The undergraduate degree program will comprise of general education and specialization courses. Students will have to complete 21 General Education Courses and 11 Major Courses for their specialized degree program.
There are seven specialized fields of under graduate degrees offered at Riverton University (RU). However, it is important to realize that for a student to graduate with a particular degree, s/he is expected to study and pass all compulsory courses in their respective specialty. In other words, no student shall graduate if the compulsory courses are not successfully done.
Also the students shall be required to do their final research project/term paper to graduate. This project paper shall
constitute 6 credits of the final grade. It will be the exercise of research, innovative, creative and entrepreneurial skills learned throughout their studies at Riverton University. It is also the required part for graduation; hence, it cannot be compromised or overlooked. All 1st year students are required to take Business Communication and Technical Writing Skills in the very 1 st Semester of study. The purpose of these courses is to prepare and orient students to University level of critical and professional writing and research skills that will be expected throughout their studies at Riverton University.

All undergraduate degrees require a successful completion of 99 credits of coursework, including 30 credits for the major; 63 credits in general education requirements and 6 credits for the dissertation.
Post Graduate Courses
Riverton University also offers postgraduate degrees in almost all undergraduate degree programs that it offers. The Master’s Degree programs will comprise of both Course Work and Dissertation. Students will be required to pass all course work before starting their dissertation. They will take 11 Courses (33 Credits) for their course work and adissertation (9 Credits) making a total of 42 Credits. Therefore, this Master’s Degree will be a 42 Credit Hour program.
