Scholarships
Scholarships are applied to accommodation fees in the first instance, and we will take care of the arrangements to obtain payment directly to us. The scholarship amount will appear as a credit on your accommodation fee invoice. If you elect to pay in full, the credit will be applied to the discounted amount shown above. If paying by instalment, the credit will be spread equally across the instalment amounts.
For example, a $6,000.00 scholarship and paying:
In full by 20 Jan 2021 (with 5% discount) | $16,930.90 – $6,000.00 = $10,930.90 |
4 instalments (each payment) | $4,455.50 – ($6,000.00 ÷ 4) =$4,455.50 – $1,500.00 = $2,955.50 |
8 instalments (each payment) | $2,227.75 – ($6,000.00 ÷ 8) =$2,227.75 – ($750.00) = $1,477.75 |
Bonds
St Margaret’s College does not charge a bond.

Refunds are not given when students have extra holidays during the year or absent themselves from the College.
Residential Dates in 2021
The move-in period is Saturday, 20 February 2021 – Sunday, 21 February 2021.

Members are required to leave within 24 hours of the last exam in the interests of those still studying. Any exemption will only be given by the Master and a daily charge will apply.
Please note that those who are required to start their course earlier than Saturday, 20 February 2021 and wish to stay at the College, an additional daily charge will apply.
Accommodation for Parents
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate parents at the College should they wish to accompany you at the start of the academic year. However, there are plenty of other choices of accommodation in Dunedin that they can choose from. We recommend the University’s Executive Residence, just down the road from the College.
Payment Methods
Fees can be paid by direct credit, Eftpos (in person), credit card (in-person or online) subject to a 2.5% surcharge to cover charges, or international (telegraphic) transfer. Bank account and telegraphic transfer details are provided on invoices. Cash or cheques payments are not accepted.
The College is not responsible for any bank and/or currency conversion charges associated with making international transfers. These charges can vary from bank to bank, and as such Members’ should make these payments with field 71A option OUR selected, i.e. sender pays all fees.
