The Bank, which is both a development and commercial entity, is fully owned by the Government of Eswatini.
The Bank has 11 branches and numerous Auto Teller Machines (ATMs) strategically located across the country.
Also available is the Automated Deposit Teller (ADT) machines which enable customers to deposit cash and have their accounts credited immediately.
The Bank development function includes financing projects or businesses in various sectors of the local economy such as industrial, commercial, agriculture, transport, mining, Small Micro Medium Enterprises (SMMEs), health care, tourism, youth entrepreneurship, property development, retail, etc. On the commercial front, Eswatini Bank has products and services that include Savings Accounts, Current Accounts, Investment Accounts, Corporate Accounts, Premier Banking, Digital Banking (Mobile App and Internet), Foreign Exchange (USD, EUR, GBP and ZAR), and loan facilities for housing, vehicle, agriculture, SMME, personal and business. Eswatini Bank customers have the MasterCard Debit Card which can be used anywhere in the world to withdraw cash from an ATM that displays a MasterCard, Maestro or Cirrus logo.
The same debit card can be used in any point of sale (POS) gadget in the world to purchase goods and services. The Bank also offers a Prepaid Card, which is an innovative card that allows a person, with or without an Eswatini Bank account, to load money onto it and use at Point of Sale (POS) and ATMs across the world without the need of a bank account. It can also be used for online transactions. The Prepaid Card can be used, instead of cash, to pay domestic workers, give cash to loved ones, pocket money for children, and even companies can use it to pay wages.
The card can also be used for online purchasing such as paying for tuition fees, air tickets, accommodation and car rentals, amongst others. The Bank remains the first ever to open a branch on Sundays in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
The branch is at the Gables Shopping Complex in Ezulwini and on Sundays it opens from 10:30pm to 1:30pm. It is also open on working days and Saturdays just like all the other branches. Eswatini Bank is a socially responsible corporate citizen and its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Programme includes the annual Eswatini Bank Cup knockout football tournament and Eswatini Bank Schools Music Competition. Other CSI initiatives include youth entrepreneurship, poverty alleviation, wellness and job creation.
