Swaziland Christian University mbabane swaziland

SCU was founded in 2006 and it currently offers studies for Bachelor’s
Degrees in Pharmacy, Psychology, Radiography, Medical Lab, Social
Work, Nursing and Computer Science.

The Swaziland Christian University is a Category A parastatal in terms
of the Public Enterprises Act.
Africa Continent Mission, a non-government and non-profit making
organization based in the Kingdom of Swaziland and a wide spectrum of
donors from South Korea, collaborated with the Swaziland Government in
establishing the multi-million Swaziland Christian University on
portion 69/1/73 in Mbabane.
The establishment of this University will potentially save the
Swaziland Government revenue that it currently spends on sending
students across borders for study purposes as well as patient
referrals to South African medical hospitals.
The emergence of this Medical University is enhancing the medical
landscape in Swaziland to reverse these trends and ensure that the
country becomes self-sufficient in terms of home-grown Medical health
professionals.
The founder of the University, Pastor Chong Yang Kim, realised a need
for a Medical university that will encompass fundamental Christian
values and be one of the premier Medical and ICT Colleges on the
global stage that is at the forefront of medical and scientific
research. The need was then communicated to relevant competent
stakeholders including His Majesty’s Government in Swaziland and the
South Korean Sponsors. Stakeholders made a commitment to finance the
operations and construction of the buildings in order to realise
Pastor Kim‘s dream.
