Tebellong Hospital SITUATED in a mountainous area and surrounded by farmland and scrub-brush, Tebellong Hospital is a hard to reach place for many in dire need of its services. Tebellong Hospital, built in 1965 is a small mountain hospital owned by the Lesotho Evangelical Church. It is responsible for providing health services in the Tebellong Health Service Area in southeastern Lesotho numbering about 52,000 persons, as defined by the government.

Tebellong Hospital has an inpatient capacity of 38 beds, admitting over 1,000 patients per year, and maintaining an occupancy rate of 95%. It is equipped with an operating room, outpatient department, pharmacy, and X-Ray department. The main source of energy is solar power but there is also diesel power when needed.

The hospital is situated in a mountainous area at an altitude of 1,800m. Much of the vegetation is farmland and scrub-brush.
The main ethnic group are called Basotho.
