Check BECE Results: The BECE examination is for certification and selection to Senior High Schools and Technical Institutions in Ghana. Students may eligible to appear in Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the end of JHS (Junior High School). However, BECE Exam is conducted once every year in the month of June.

BECE Results Release Date:

  • Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is likely to be released in September. On the other hand, last year i.e. in 2016 BECE Results were published on 13th September. Students who will successfully be qualified for this exam, then this results will help them to get admission into Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes across the country.

BECE

  • At the present time admission in BECE is done in the month of October/November each year and it normally takes six weeks. Participating Schools in Ghana upload their Statement of Entries and School Choice Files on the internet for processing. Furthermore, schools approved by the Ghana Education Service are eligible to register students to take the BECE each year.

BECE Subjects:

The following are the subjects for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE 2021).

  • English language
  • Mathematics
  • Integrated Science
  • Social Studies
  • Religious and Moral Education (R.M.E)
  • French
  • Ghanaian language (Any Ghanaian language offered at the candidate’s school)
  • Basic Design and Technology (B.D.T)
  • Information Communication and Technology (I.C.T)

BECE Grading:

  • Presently BECE certificate/result is based on a grading system.  Therefore, grades are calculated based on performance in the external examination (in addition to objective and written) and Continuous (Internal) Assessment scores provided by the schools.
  • A nine-point scale helps to determine the present grading system. Candidates with Grade 1 denoting the highest performance whereas Grade 9 is the lowest.

BECE School Placement System:

  • Generally, candidates’ selection to Senior High Schools is done by the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS)-The Computerized School Selection and Placement System – a computerized system used by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to place qualified Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates fairly into Senior High School, Technical Institutes, and the Vocational Institution Institute.

BECE Results checker :

  • Generally, the BECE exams result are released in the month of August/September. Successfully qualified candidates may get admission into Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes at the beginning of the academic year in September. After the declaration of the bece results, delay, the lists were also sent to the participating schools. Indeed from school, each candidate may get a statement of best results through his/her school.
