Zambia Army RECRUITMENT TRAINING

Zambia National Service

Six months of training for 400 youths was planned for 2016. This was to include 200 males to be trained at Chiwoko ZNS Training Centre, Katete, Eastern Province, and 200 females to be trained at the Kitwe ZNS training camp.

Only applicants who are successful in the Screening Examination will be invited for training.

Zambia Defence Force RECRUITMENT PASSOUT

Candidates that have successfully completed the training exercise will be passed out to the Zambia Defence Force

Zambia Army Recruitment – Recruitment Portal; Applications are invited from in suitably qualified Zambians for the National Zambia Defence Force recruitment exercise.  INTERESTED AND SUITABLY QUALIFIED members of the public can apply for any of the positions available at Zambia Defence Force .

The Zambia Defense Forces will conduct a general recruitment from soon for regular soldiers and professionals into the force.
The recruitment criteria, centers and dates are as indicated below:

  1. RECRUITMENT CRITERIA
    Eligible candidates to meet the following requirements:
    1. Citizenship: MUST be a Zambian citizen and must be in possession of an Original National Identity Card.
    2. Medical: MUST be healthy and medically fit; ready to undergo medical and physical body check and a road run to test endurance and body fitness.
    3. Age: Regular Recruits must be male and female adults between the age of 18-25 years and professionals between 18 and 30 years.
  2. Marital status: MUST be single with no children.
    5. Education standard. Regular Recruits must possess a minimum formal education of  (ECZ)  in science subjects. Original certificates of 2016, 2017 and 2018 with a school IDs are a must.
    6. Professionals: Degree/Diploma holders in medicine, chemistry, Engineering, teachers and vocational skills.
    7. Conduct: Candidates must be of good conduct with no criminal record. Letters of recommendations from LC I, LC III, GISOs duly signed are a MUST, to confirm their conduct.
    8. Moral Standards: Presentation of forged documents is criminal and culprits will be liable to prosecution.

Zambia Defence Force Recruitment Requirements

  1. MUST be citizen of Zambia holding the original National Identity Card.
  2. MUST be in good health and medically fit ready to undergo check-ups and road run.
  3. Should be between the age of 18-25 or 18-30 if he/she is to enlist as a regular or professional respectively.
  4. MUST be single with no children to avoid family distractions.
  5. Professionals should be holders of Degrees/or Diplomas in Medicine, Engineering, Chemistry, Education or possess qualifications in vocational skills.
  6. MUST be of good character and supported by letters from LCs and GISOs.

*Requirements for Zambia Army-Airforce Candidates

  1. S.6 biased in Science subjects such as physics, math and, Geography.
  2. Degree and Diploma holders in Aviation related fields such as:
  3. Pilots with Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Pilot Instructors.
  4. Aircraft maintainaince Engineers category A&C ( Engine and Airframe), category X ( Electrical and Avionics, Radio and Instruments).
  5. Air Traffic Controllers.
  6. Radar Engineers and Radar Operators.
  7. Flight Operators.

Applicants with the following skills are strongly encouraged to apply;

Forensic Scientists, Carpenters and Joiners, Cartographers, Clinical Officers, Nurses, Draughtsmen, Electrical Assistants, Electronics Technicians, General Fitters, Foreign Languages Experts, Hospitality (Caters, House Keepers, Cooks, Laundry Operators), ICT Experts, Laboratory Technicians, Librarians, Masons, Painters and Sign Writers, Photographers, Plant Mechanics, Pharmacists, Plumbers, Sign Language Interpreters, Sportsmen/women, Tailors, Vehicle Electricians, Veterinary Technicians, Video Editors, Videographers, Welders and Fabricators.
