Application Process – Emirati Students
Zayed University is on a journey of academic transition that has and will continue to, place itself at the forefront of future thinking. We do not educate students in traditional, linear forms of thinking and doing, ZU students are agile, creative problem-solvers who have not just the theoretical knowledge, but the know-how and practical ability to apply them in the real world.
We do not teach in the traditional mode, we do not assess and grade in the traditional mode, we do not give students hands-on experiences in the traditional way; we educate students to be equipped, not just for tomorrow, but for the future tomorrow brings with it.
End-of-semester examinations are a thing of the past; global research shows that Industry leaders continually highlight that it does not produce employees who are ready to succeed in the real world.
How can you get started on your path to being future-ready?
Current Grade 12 Students
1. Create a NAPO profile:
- Upload all documentation
- Select ZU as your 1st Choice
- Confirm your joining ZU (once you have received your offer letter)
- Access the NAPO website here: www.moe.gov.ae
2. Complete your ZU Application: application.zu.ac.ae
3. Receive ZU Application Decision from the Admissions Team via email
4. Receive High School Final Result – upload to your NAPO and ZU Application
5. If you meet all the required criteria, you will be accepted by ZU on NAPO
6. Accept ZU’s offer
7. Complete your Enrollment Process once you receive the email from the Registration Office
Previous year graduates:
UAE Nationals that graduated in previous years, can still be eligible to apply to ZU.
Our application for p2 and p3 students will be open in mid-September 2023 – these students can then apply for our Spring 2024 intake.

Transfer student:
ZU accepts transfers from CAA-accredited programs and international universities. Students should meet a minimum CGPA of 3.0 for the College of Interdisciplinary Studies (CIS), and a minimum CGPA of 2.25 for the College Of Arts and Creative Enterprises (CACE).

The University aims to be as accessible as possible to a wide range of students with skills and experiences across multiple disciplines, this unique process for our Undergraduate programs is a mandatory requirement for all prospective students.
Within the ZU Application, you will discover a process that provides students with a platform to showcase their individual suitability for being accepted to study a Unique Interdisciplinary Degree in our College of Interdisciplinary Studies, or College of Arts and Creative Enterprises. You will be expected to complete all sections requested.

- Uploading of Documentation (Your Personal Statement, academic qualifications and supporting extra-curricular achievements)
Our application is designed to be thought-provoking and challenging. We are looking to understand how you think; your principles; your problem-solving ability; and your abilities and accomplishments.
Through our Written Assessment, you will respond to an unseen question and have 15 minutes to respond – you will record your screen as you type your reply.
Following this, you should complete the Virtual Interview. Here, you will respond to 4 or 5 questions across academic and non-academic areas of your studies, and areas related to your character and personality. You will once again receive unseen questions or prompts and have 1 minute to read and comprehend, you shall then have 2 minutes to verbally convey your answer, Again, this element of the process will be recorded.
