Mbendera’s burial Saturday in Blantyre

Late Maxon Mbndera, Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson and Supreme Court Judge will be laid to rest on Saturday at Henry Henderson Institute (HHI) cemetery in the commercial capital Blantyre, FaceofMalawi can reveal.
 
A family rations, Mike Banda confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press from Sunny Side Blantyre where the vigil is being conducted.
According to Banda, the remains of Mbendera will be taken from Lilongwe to his residence in Blantyre this afternoon.
Mbendera died on Thursday in the capital Lilongwe after collapsing soon after meeting Auditor General Stephenson Kamphasa.
He was born on November 4 1958 in Malawi’s Central Region district of Ntcheu.
