E100M SHOPPING CENTRE COMING UP IN MANZINI

MBABANE – The skyline of Manzini City will never be the same again – it will once again change for the better.
This is because property developers still see it as an investment destination. It is continuing to attract investments in property development.
With an investment of over E100 million, Zara Investments will construct a double storey shopping centre on an area measuring 8 000 square metres.
This is according to the property developers’ building plans submitted to the Municipal Council of Manzini which this reporter saw.
All building plans applications are submitted to the city council so that it could determine if they meet the set building standards. The council reserves the right to approve or discard applications which are not meeting the set standards.
Overseeing the project is Mlungisi Dlamini who also confirmed that Zara Investments was indeed undertaking the development.
The multi-million property will be constructed between Ngwane, Detroit and Nkoseluhlaza Streets opposite The George Hotel.
Du Van Developers has won the tender for the development of the structure. Dlamini said construction will be in two phases. The first phase is projected to be complete by the end of April 2017. The contractor is already on site.
Dlamini went on to disclose that the shopping centre will have one anchor tenant which would be one of the country’s leading grocery retailers.
He was noncommittal to giving out the exact name of the retailer. The double storey shopping centre will also have space for offices on the first floor and other shops will be accommodated at the ground floor. The building will accommodate 16 tenants when fully let.
